"This song just kind of manifested itself over the years. I originally composed the finger-picking acoustic rythm back in 1994 and thought of it as a tribute to my Aunt who had passed on recently at the time. One day I played it for my grandpa while we were playing music together and he nodded his head in beat with the music and said he liked it.
I knew I wanted to record this at some point but never felt it was complete. I started playing around with it in the studio during the Reflections recording sessions and thought it would be a nice tune to break up the heaviness of the album with some light hearted music.
This was recorded without a metronome or any timing other than the rythm finger-picking. From there, I laid the other tracks. The idea for the finished song is a group of people in the south sitting out on one of those wrap around porches tapping their feet and playing the guitars.
This was a fun one."
