"One day while riding in the car with my husband, we were talking about the album. I needed something to bring it all together. I had the songs but didn't have a title. The working title was A Collection of Songs and it just wasn't catchy. My husband said, "Why don't you call it Reflections since it's about reflecting back on life and those who have been a part of it?" I thought that was a brilliant idea!
So, now that the album had a title, I thought it would be nice to have a 'title track' to sort of show what the album's purpose was. I had not been able to come up with any lyrics though. One night while taking my dog for a walk it started playing in my head. I could hear the piano and the first verse really clearly. When I got back inside, I wrote down the first verse. From there, the rest of the song just came through.
That's usually how it happens for me. I hear the song in my head and I record it. That's why I always say GOD gives me the music.
